Kansas City area health code violations: Taco Republic, Minsky’s, Upper Cut, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available).

Taco Republic, 500 County Line Road, Kansas City, Kansas, had 10 priority violations during a June 8 inspection following a complaint.

Minsky’s Pizza Cafe & Bar, 15983 S. Bradley Drive, Olathe, had nine priority violations during a June 9 routine inspection.

Bangkok Pavilion, 7249 W. 97th St., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a June 8 routine inspection.

Cactus Grill, Bluhawk, 7841 W. 159th St., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a June 10 inspection following a complaint.

The Peanut, 1731 S. Mur-Len Road, Olathe, had eight priority violations during a June 14 routine inspection.

Mud Pie Vegan Bakery & Coffee, 7319 W. 95th St., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a June 8 routine inspection.

Price Chopper, 7000 W. 75th St., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a June 9 routine inspection.

The Upper Cut, 9769 N. Cedar Ave., had nine critical violations during a June 8 routine inspection.

Komatsu Ramen, 3951 Broadway, had eight critical violations during a June 7 routine inspection. It had three critical violations during a June 14 follow-up inspection.

Ixtapa Fine Mexican Cuisine, 7103 N.W. Barry Road, had seven critical violations during a June 10 routine inspection.

Mickey’s Hideaway, Westport, 4057 Pennsylvania Ave., had seven critical violations during a June 10 routine inspection.

Red Bridge Barrio Mexican Kitchen + Bar, 11118 Holmes Road, had seven critical violations during a June 10 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a June 15 follow-up inspection.

Succotash, 2601 Holmes Road, had seven critical violations during a June 10 routine inspection.
