Famed designer handbag, backpack retailer opening first Kansas City area outlet store

Vera Bradley is coming to the Legends Outlets Kansas City with its first area outlet store.

The designer brand plans a summer opening at 1847 Village West Parkway, Suite K-109, Kansas City, Kansas, (next to Victoria’s Secret and near The Civic Courtyard Fountain).

It will offer its famed quilted handbags and accessories, luggage, travel items, gifts and more, at discounted prices. It also will have factory-exclusive patterns and prints, which will change on a monthly basis.

Vera Bradley was founded in 1982 and currently has more than 150 full-line and factory stores. It has an area full-line store in Leawood’s Town Center Plaza.

Last week, The Legends Outlets announced a new Rally House store that will be part full-line, part outlet. It is scheduled to open in July.

Other new tenants that opened this year include a pop-up shop selling Kansas City Monarchs team merchandise, accessories and glassware; a Sephora and 1 Million Cuts Barber Studio.

Haggar Factory Outlet store will close on May 23 and is having a sale with men’s apparel and accessories currently 70% off. It opened at 1803 Village West Parkway, Suite M-107, in May 2014.
