KC Pizza Hut, Church’s Chicken, more temporarily shut down for health code violations

The Kansas City Health Department temporarily suspended the licenses of several operations for health code violations:

All Halal Mart, deli, 8330 E. Bannister Road, after a March 25 routine inspection. The inspector found a ceiling leak in the deli prep area above a large ice chest. It had no critical violations during a March 29 follow-up inspection and reopened.

A manager declined to comment.

Church’s Chicken, 11500 Blue Ridge Blvd., after an April 16 inspection following a complaint. According to the department, the inspector introduced themselves and showed their credentials, but the person in charge of the restaurant would not allow the inspector entry after several requests.

It had no critical violations during an April 21 follow-up inspection and reopened.

A manager declined to comment.

Pizza Hut, 5928 Wilson Road, after a March 30 inspection. According to the department, the inspector found the dishwasher was not dispensing sanitizer at proper levels. It had no critical violations during a follow-up inspection later that day and was allowed to open.

A district manager declined to comment.
