Multiple code violations for KC barbecue, Plaza-area restaurant, Olathe bar & grill
Here are recent Kansas City-area health inspections. Inspections were compiled for April 6.
Restaurants and grocery stores correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter.

The Kansas City Health Department reports with seven or more critical violations:
▪Gates Bar-B-Q, 1325 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd., had 10 critical violations during a March 6 routine inspection. It had six critical violations during a March 18 follow-up inspection.
▪ Chaz on the Plaza, The Raphael Hotel, 325 Ward Parkway, had eight priority violations during a March 13 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a March 20 follow-up inspection.
▪ Friendship Chinese Restaurant, 6420 Troost Ave., had seven critical violations during a March 6 routine inspection. It had one critical violation during a March 16 follow-up inspection.
▪ Fuji Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar, 5701 Longview Road, had seven priority violations during a March 24 inspection.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations. Direct links are not available.
▪ Johnny’s Tavern, 10384 S. Ridgeview Road, Olathe, had 12 priority violations during a March 11 standardization inspection.
▪ Pegah’s Family Restaurant, 5354 Roberts St., Shawnee, had eight priority violations during a March 11 routine inspection.
▪ Walmart, 16100 W. 65th St., Shawnee, had eight priority violations during a March 10 standardization inspection.
▪ Snack Pack, 1705 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kansas, had seven priority violations during a March 11 joint inspection.
