BBQ, tacos, sushi, country club: Kansas spots cited with multiple health code violations

Here are recent Kansas City-area health inspections. Inspections were compiled for March 12.

Restaurants and grocery stores correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations. Direct links are not available.

Old 56 Family Restaurant, 912 S. Chestnut St., Olathe, had 15 priority violations during a March 9 standardization inspection.

El Taco Miendo, 401 S. Parker St., Olathe, had 13 priority violations during a March 3 routine inspection.

Sakura Sushi Train, 7474 Nieman Road, Shawnee, had 10 priority violations during a March 6 follow-up inspection.

Winstead’s, 4971 W. 135th St., Leawood, had 10 priority violations during a March 5 routine inspection.

Blind Box BBQ, 13214 W. 62nd Terrace, Shawnee, had nine priority violations during a March 3 inspection following a complaint.

Lake Quivira Country Club, 100 Crescent Blvd., Lake Quivira, Kansas, had nine priority violations during a March 4 routine inspection.

Conroy’s Public House, 4730 Rainbow Blvd., Westwood, Kansas, had eight priority violations during a March 2 routine inspection.

Pegah’s Family Restaurant, 8701 W. 63rd St., Merriam, had eight priority violations during a March 9 inspection.

Steve’s Villa Capri, 10412 Mastin St., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a March 4 routine inspection.

C-Store 1, 6828 Kaw Drive, Kansas City, Kansas, had seven priority violations during a March 5 routine inspection.

The Peanut, 5400 Martway St., Mission, had seven priority violations during a March 2 routine inspection.

Taco Bueno, 18016 W. 119th St., Olathe, had seven priority violations during a March 2 routine inspection.
