But those plans also raise questions about the future status of Cinemark Palace at the Plaza.
As previously reported, Nordstrom will demolish several buildings on the west side of the Plaza to make way for its new department store, scheduled to open in 2021, when it also will vacate Oak Park Mall.
The plans, however, put the new store at 122,000 square feet, slightly larger than the previously reported 116,000 square feet.

The Nordstrom site currently includes The Capital Grille, which will relocate to the former Williams Sonoma space for a summer 2019 opening; the former Bank of America with drive-thru (Bank of America relocated on the Plaza); and the long empty Blanc Burgers + Bottles space.
Nordstrom, listed at 4720 Jefferson St., would keep the 1,185 space parking garage but would eliminate 200 of those spaces.
The south garage access and bank drive-thru lanes would be removed and the north garage entrance would shift 25 feet to the north. A bike lane also is being considered for a short section of Jefferson between 47th Street and Nichols Road, similar to a parking-protected bike lane proposed for 47th Street. A rendering also shows that the enclosed pedestrian walkway over Jefferson Street would be removed.
Cinemark currently has five movie screens totaling 30,880 square feet with a 5,526-square-foot mezzanine on the west side. The proposed redevelopment calls for a Plaza movie theater with 1,640 seats, down from Cinemark’s current 2,900 seats.
The Plaza declined to comment on any future changes for Cinemark. Officials with Cinemark did not return phone calls.
Meanwhile, Lululemon has relocated and expanded in the former Cole Haan and Plaza Customer Service Center spaces.
The local owners of Fortuity have opened a holiday pop-up called Array A Collection of Shops, at 235 W. 47th St., selling junior and women’s clothing, shoes and accessories.
Heading into the holidays, the Plaza has about a half dozen empty spots including the former Houston’s restaurant and Decori spaces.
