Don’t throw away your shot at seeing “Hamilton” for cheap when it opens Wednesday, Feb. 18, in Kansas City.

Producer Jeffrey Seller and PNC Broadway in Kansas City announced in a statement that a digital lottery for tickets to see the Pulitzer Prize-winning Broadway musical about Alexander Hamilton, one of the United States’ founding fathers, at Music Hall will open every week during the show’s run from Feb. 18 to March 1.

A limited number of tickets will be available for every performance for $10 each. The lottery is open from now until noon Thursday, Feb. 12, for tickets to shows hosted Feb. 18-22. Following lotteries will begin each Friday and end on the following Thursday for the next week’s performances.

How to enter the ‘Hamilton’ ticket lottery

The lottery is available on the official “Hamilton” website or app (available on Apple Store and Google Play).

No purchase or payment is necessary to enter the lottery, but entrants must be 18 years or older and have a valid, non-expired photo ID that matches the name used to enter, according to the lottery’s rules.

Winners will receive an email between 1 and 3 p.m. every Thursday for the upcoming week’s performances, and each will have two hours to claim and pay for their tickets. They can also be picked up at will call beginning two hours before a performance with a valid photo ID.

If selected, the winner can purchase up to two tickets, and they’re non-transferable. The tickets are void if resold.

Lee’s Summit-raised Miriam Ali is a part of the ensemble cast and an understudy for Peggy and Maria for this tour of “Hamilton.”
