Sal Perez as Han Solo bobblehead, 50th season swag among Royals promotions
The Royals on Thursday announced their 2018 promotions and they will include a heavy dose of 50th season items, along with some old favorites.
The first 10,000 fans for the Royals-Angels game on April 14 will receive a replica Municipal Stadium model. Municipal was the Royals’ stadium for their first four seasons in the major leagues.
When the Cardinals come to Kauffman Stadium in August, there will be two popular giveaways. On Aug. 11, the first 15,000 fans will receive a replica 1985 World Series trophy. The next day, the first 15,000 fans will be given a replica jersey of the Royals’ “gold threads” uniforms that the team wore in 2016 as defending World Series champions.
On Fan Appreciation Night, Sept. 29, the first 15,000 fans will receive a 50th season hooded sweatshirt.
Here are some of the other giveaways:
May 5: Sluggerrr bobblehead (first 20,000 fans).
May 6: Salute to the Negro Leagues/Dressed to the Nines Day. The first 10,000 fans will be given a Monarchs hat.
May 19: A George Brett Pine Tar bobblehead (first 20,000 fans).
May 20: Royals’ legends replica jersey will be distributed to the first 15,000 fans.
June 2: Whit Merrifield bobblehead (first 20,000 fans).
June 16: Fans will receive a Royals hat with the 50th season logo.
June 17: First 10,000 males will receive 50th season Royals barbecue tongs.
July 22: A power blue 50th season coffee mug will be given to the first 10,000 fans.
Aug. 25: Jeff Montgomery bobblehead (first 20,000 fans).
Sept. 1: The Viva Los Reales day includes a Los Reales baseball hat to the first 10,000 fans.
Sept. 14: For the first 10,000 females at the Royals’ Girls Night Out, they will get a “special ladies bag.”
Sept. 15: A Royals 50th season canvas collage will go to the first 10,000 fans.
Sept. 16: The first 10,000 fans will get a 50th season tumbler.

BARK AT THE PARK: April 24, May 30, Aug. 15, Sept. 12 (theme ticket required)
UNIVERSITY DAYS: April 27 (Mizzou Night), June 15 (K-State Night), July 7 (Huskers Night), July 20 (Wichita State Night), Aug. 24 (KU Night) and Sept. 28 (Missouri State Night). Theme ticket required for each game.
STAR WARS NIGHT: May 4. Theme ticket will include a Sal Solo bobblehead, with Salvador Perez dressed as Han Solo.
BIG SLICK CELEBRITY SOFTBALL GAME: June 1.
KIDSFEST: The Royals will “celebrate young baseball fans with a special event dedicated to kids” on June 3.
PRICE CHOP MONDAYS: A View Reserved ticket is $10 for all Monday games (subject to availability and excluding Aug. 6).
T-SHIRT TUESDAYS: The first 10,000 fans will get shirts on April 24, May 15, June 12, July 3, July 24, Aug. 7 and Aug. 28. The Royals note that the April 24 shirt is only available for fans who are 21 and older.
GORDONATION: All Thursday home games (except opening day and May 3). With a theme tickets, fans will get a “GordoNation” T-shirt and a seat in the Outfield Box and Outfield Plaza sections.
BANG FOR YOUR BUCK: From May through August, hot dogs and peanuts are $1 at Friday home night games. Fireworks will follow the game.
FAMILY FUNDAY SUNDAYS: This will be at each Sunday home game.
