Joel Goldberg is adding teams to his sports broadcasting repertoire.

Goldberg, the host of Royals Live pregame and postgame shows and reporter on Royals’ broadcasts on Fox Sports Kansas City, will lend his voice to college basketball and minor league hockey.

UMKC announced a seven-game television schedule Tuesday, and Goldberg will join Neil Harwell on the Kangaroos’ crew.

Seven games will be broadcast on KSMO (Ch. 62) in conjunction with Niles Media Group: Dec. 13 at South Dakota State, Dec. 15 Omaha, Jan. 14 at Utah Valley, Jan. 21 at New Mexico State, Feb. 4 at UT Rio Grande Valley, Feb. 25 at Grand Canyon and March 4 at Chicago State.

Goldberg will also handle play-by-play duties for the minor league Missouri Mavericks on “Friday Night Ice.”

All eight Friday home games and the annual New Year’s Eve contest will be aired by KSMO, starting with Friday’s contest against Fort Wayne.

Goldberg has spent the last two years handling television play-by-play for NCAA hockey on the American Sports Network.
