Ban Johnson Hall of Fame to honor Cary Lundy

Longtime manager Cary Lundy will become the 41st member of the Ban Johnson League Hall of Fame at the league’s awards dinner on Dec. 27.

Lundy has managed the UMB Bank team for 30 years. His teams have won seven league titles, including four straight during 1987-90. UMB Bank’s title this season moved him into third place in league championships. Alex Nigro and Lew Denny both won eight Ban Johnson titles.

Lundy has also been head coach of the Park University baseball team since 2003.
