UMKC men’s basketball announces radio broadcasts, ticket plans

Tickets for 2016-17 UMKC men’s basketball home games went on sale Tuesday.

Single-game lower-level seats at Muncipal Auditorium are $15 and general admission tickets are $10. The Kangaroos are also offering a 10-game flex plan for $80.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 844-865-2326 or visiting UMKCKangaroos.com or the Municipal box office, which is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Tickets for UMKC women’s basketball games, played at Swinney Recreation Center with the exception of three doubleheaders with the men at Municipal, are also on sale for $7 per game.

Roos on radio

All UMKC men’s basketball games will air on KCTE (1510 AM and 99.3 FM) this season as part of a radio partnership with Union Broadcasting, which also operates WHB (810 AM).

UMKC opens the season with a women’s/men’s exhibition doubleheader Nov. 5 at Municipal. The women play Kansas Christian at 1 p.m. followed by the men vs. Missouri S&T at 4:05 p.m.

The men’s regular season opens Nov. 11 at Creighton. The women open at home vs. Tulsa.
