The Missouri Senate is expected to debate a controversial right-to-work bill this week. A companion measure already has passed the House.

Right-to-work laws weaken unions by allowing nonmembers to opt out of paying fees for representation. Supporters say this improves a state’s business climate. Opponents contend it lowers wages and makes workplaces less safe.
