Sanders endorses Clinton, and his hardcore supporters are feeling Berned

The day that Bernie Sanders supporters dreaded finally arrived Tuesday when Sanders endorsed Hillary Clinton for president.

“I intend to do everything I can to make certain she will be the next president of the United States,” Sanders said at a joint rally in New Hampshire.

But this arranged marriage is clearly going to take time for Sanders fans to support. Those loud, last gasps heard all over social media came from millions of passionate Bernie or Bust fans.

Sanders thanked the “13 million Americans” who voted for him during the Democratic primaries but made it “clear as possible” that he is endorsing Clinton.

Mixing Sanders and Clinton supporters under one roof got off to a rocky start.

On social media many Sanders fans made it clear that they’re just not ready to get behind Clinton, who proclaimed that “we are stronger together.” They feel betrayed and, well, kind of “Berned.”

Others said Sanders did the right thing and that they’re ready to get on with the business at hand: defeating Donald Trump.
