The same week Hillary Clinton disclosed she wanted to tell Donald Trump to “back up, you creep” when he stood close to her on the debate stage last year, the president retweeted a meme showing him creeping up on Barack Obama.

During a Thursday morning barrage of tweets, Trump retweeted a solar-eclipse-themed meme from self-professed Trump supporter and YouTube actor @JerryTravone, showing Trump overshadowing his predecessor, Obama.

It was a version of this popular eclipse meme from Monday showing various dark objects overpowering lighter ones.

Twitter responded quickly.

On Thursday morning the president also tweet-swiped Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, former intelligence chief James Clapper and the “fake news.”
