Kansas City police identify Sunday homicide victim
A man shot to death in southeast Kansas City Sunday night was identified Monday as Jacob Brantner.
Brantner, 39, was killed about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in a parking lot of a shopping center in the 8700 block of East 63rd Street.
A Kansas City police officer working off-duty heard the gunshots and found Brantner. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police ask anyone with information about the killing to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
His killing was the metropolitan area’s 40th homicide of 2016.
