Four shootings in Kansas City leave three people with life-threatening injuries
Kansas City police investigated several shootings Friday night that left at least three people with life-threatening injuries.
Two of the shootings occurred near Westport.
A shooting about 9 p.m. near 39th Terrace and Washington Street left one person with life-threatening injuries. That incident was thought by police to be related to another shooting about 10 minutes later in the 3700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
A short time earlier, about 8:45 p.m., a shooting had been reported near East 43rd Street and Prospect Avenue. A victim in that shooting was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Earlier Friday night, near East 14th Street and Belmot Avenue, a person suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting about 6:45 p.m. Police arrested a suspect in that incident a short time later.
