Charges filed after shooting at Shawnee bar
A Kansas City, Kan., man has been charged with shooting another man inside a Shawnee bar early Sunday.
Elmer Ramirez, 32, was charged with aggravated battery after another man was shot in the ankle at La Terraza Bar and Grill at 10923 Shawnee Mission Parkway.
Ramirez was also charged in Johnson County District Court with aggravated assault and two counts of battery.
His bond is set at $100,000 and he made an initial court appearance Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting victim's injury was not life-threatening, Shawnee police said.
