Police release name of victim in fatal hail of gunfire
A 26-year-old man who was mortally wounded in a barrage of gunfire Sunday was identified by Kansas City police as Ronald S. Washington.
The shooting was reported around 11:30 a.m. in the 2700 block of Denver Avenue. A woman was critically injured.
Officers patrolling the area responded after hearing numerous gunshots. The gunfire left about 16 bullet holes in the driver’s side door of a parked white Dodge sedan.
The victims were found inside the car and were taken to the hospital, where Washington died, police said.
