A motorist led police through downtown Kansas City on Tuesday, darting through busy intersections and jumping curbs before surrendering.

Police chased the man southbound down Grand Boulevard, and he eventually surrendered near 53rd and Jackson streets, police said.

The man refused to stop for officers in the area of Blue Parkway and Elmwood in KC. He was a “known subject” with a felony warrant, police said.

The pursuit lasted about 30 minutes.

No other occupants were in the vehicle, and no injuries were immediately reported.

Police said details of the felony warrant for the man would not be released unless charges are filed.
