A woman was found dead of apparent stab wounds on a front porch in the 900 block of South Mill Street in Kansas City, Kan. Thursday afternoon.
A call at 2:31 p.m. led police to the home, where a woman in her 30s was found dead.
Kansas City, Kan., police were investigating the death as a homicide, the police chief said in a tweet Thursday.
Kansas City, Kan., police spokesman Zac Blair said at the scene that the incident started out as a medical call. The fire department and EMS were called out to the home in the 900 block of South Mill Street after a female relative found the victim on the front porch.
Police believe the woman was stabbed. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
“The fire department responded, and when they did, the female who was on the porch was dead on arrival,” Blair said.
Kansas City, Kan. police continued to investigate the scene Thursday afternoon.
