Police identify victim found dead in bullet-riddled car near 16th St., Lister
Kansas City police identified a man found dead in a bullet-riddled vehicle earlier this week as John C. Jones, 34.
Officers found Jones dead in an overturned car shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday near East 16th Street and Lister Avenue.
The exterior of the car had gunshot damage.
Witnesses told police three men — possibly juveniles — in a dark blue or black vehicle fled the scene after the shooting.
