Kansas City police have released the names of a man and woman whose bodies were found inside a Kansas City home early Thursday, saying the two died in a murder-suicide.
Alice Humphrey, 37, was identified as a homicide victim. Bobby Harris, 35, died of suicide, police said. Both were fatally shot.
A 16-year-old teen was home at the time of the shooting, which occurred in the 4500 block of Benton Boulevard. Police were called to the residence about 6:15 a.m. on a disturbance call.
Arriving officers discovered Humphrey and Harris sprawled inside the home. The teen, who neighbors said was related to Humphrey, was found unharmed in the basement where he lived.

The initial 911 call came from the teen, who is not a suspect, police said. The teen was staying with other family members after the shooting.
