Officer-involved shooting in Olathe leaves person dead after standoff
An officer-involved shooting left one person dead after an hourslong standoff Wednesday evening in Olathe.
Johnson County deputies and Olathe police officers went to the 100 block of South Keeler Street about 6 p.m. Wednesday to serve a warrant, which lead to a standoff, according to police.
During the standoff, at least one officer fired a weapon, killing a person. The identity of the person was not released. No officers were injured, according to police.
The Johnson County Officer-Involved Shooting Team has taken over the investigation.
