Olathe police on Tuesday released the names of two people fatally shot in an apparent murder-suicide.

They were identified as Amy Mabion and Philip Mabion. Both were 36. Police have not confirmed who fired the fatal shots.

The Mabions were married and had three children, but Amy Mabion filed for divorce June 1, according to Johnson County court records.

Officers found both suffering gunshot wounds when they were called Monday afternoon to a residence in the 24200 block of West 109th Terrace.

Amy Mabion was pronounced dead at the scene.

Philip Mabion was pronounced dead later after being taken to a hospital, according to police.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the couple’s children, who are now being cared for by their mother’s family.
