71-year-old woman charged in Johnson County burglary
A 71-year-old Overland Park woman was charged Thursday with burglarizing a Shawnee home and stealing jewelry.
Mary Ellen Lubow was charged in Johnson County District Court with aggravated burglary and felony theft.
The alleged break-in occurred Wednesday at the home of a family whom Lubow was acquainted with, according to the allegations.
She allegedly let herself in through an unlocked door and took a wedding ring in the burglary.
Bond for Lubow was set at $10,000.
According to court records, she has several prior convictions for theft in Johnson County. She also has a 2016 conviction for larceny in Lee County, Fla., according to court records.
