Man robs Leawood bank, flees with undisclosed amount of cash

Federal investigators said that someone held up the BMO Harris Bank branch located in the 8800 block of State Line Road in Leawood.

Authorities were summoned to the branch location around 3 p.m. The robber fled on foot with undisclosed amount of cash. He was seen running westbound from the bank.

The man said he was armed with a handgun and an explosive device, however no was displayed.

No injuries were reported.
