Person armed with pistol steps out of vehicle, shoots man on way home in KC
A man headed home from a friend’s house was shot by a person who stepped from a vehicle that pulled up to the victim early Thursday in Kansas City.
Police responding to reports of a shooting found the victim about 1 a.m. on the front porch of a house in the 3600 block of East 57th Street.
The man told police he was on his way home when the vehicle pulled up to him in the 5600 block of Swope Parkway.
A person got out of the passenger side armed with a pistol. The victim said he heard four shots and was struck.
An ambulance took the man to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Police searched the area but were unable to find a crime scene.
