Man in his 40s found fatally shot in KCK residence

Kansas City, Kan. police are investigating a shooting early Saturday that left a man in his 40s dead.

Officers responded to a residence in the 4300 block of Lloyd Street at 1:15 a.m. and found the victim dead from several gunshot wounds.

Police will not release the victim’s name until they have made positive identification and notified relatives.

The shooting may have been domestic related. A person connected to the shooting ran away before officers arrived. A police K-9 unit was sent to search for the possible shooter but was unsuccessful.
