A suspected Overland Park bank robber was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Leawood after a brief police pursuit.

The robbery was reported about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Bank of the West in the 12000 block of Blue Valley Parkway.

A short time later, police attempted to stop a suspect vehicle that led officers on a pursuit through neighborhoods west of State Line Road.

At one point, the suspect vehicle hit a police vehicle and lost one of its front tires.

The pursuit continued south on State Line Road and west on 135th Street before the suspect vehicle wreck at Pawnee Lane, and the suspect was arrested.

There were injuries reported in the robbery or pursuit.
