Robber enters Prairie Village home, forces victims into room, steals items and flees

Prairie Village police are investigating an alleged aggravated home robbery that occurred Saturday morning.

The department received a report at 10:23 a.m. of a robbery at a residence in the 5100 block of West 75th Street.

According to police, a man entered the residence through an unlocked front door and met one of the residents in the hallway. The suspect reportedly went through the home taking various items, forced victims into a room of the home, and fled the scene in an unknown direction. The people in the home were not injured.

The suspect was described as a male, 20 to 30 years old, about 6 foot tall with a muscular build, wearing glasses, blue jeans and a dark blue shirt. There was no description of a suspect vehicle.
