Victims hospitalized after double shooting in KC
A disturbance led to a double shooting that left a man and woman injured Thursday afternoon in Kansas City.
Officers were called to a home near 24th and Lawndale Avenue about 2 p.m. and found the victims.
According to police, the victims were involved in a disturbance with three associates when shots were fired. The shooters fled in a gold-colored SUV, police said.
A woman in her late 20s was shot in the leg, and a man in his late teens was shot in shoulder. Both were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The incident was the second double shooting of the day in Kansas City, and the third in two days.
A man was shot in the head and a woman was hit in the shoulder in a shooting about 4:20 p.m. Thursday near 104th Street and Holmes.
Two men were critically injured in a double shooting about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 3200 block of Smart Avenue.
