Woman found fatally shot in KCK

Kansas City, Kan., police said they are investigating a homicide after officers found a woman shot and killed at a home on Troup Avenue.

Officers responding to a reported shooting shortly after 8 p.m. found the woman inside the residence in the 800 block of Troup.

Police said the woman was in her early 20s but did not release her name pending positive identification and notification of family.

The investigation continued. Police asked anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
