Kansas City police investigate shooting death of man as city’s latest homicide
Kansas City police are investigating the city’s latest homicide.
A man in his mid-30s was found in a front yard in 1600 block of Elmwood about 7 p.m. Thursday. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Witnesses told police that two subjects fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

The homicide is the city’s 98th of the year. So far in 2016, there have been 158 homicides in the Kansas City area.
