Shawnee homeowner thwarts burglary by firing warning shots

Shawnee Police are searching for a person who appeared to be trying to break into a house on the 7400 block of Bond Street and ran away after the homeowner fired shots from inside.

Police who responded to the scene shortly after midnight set up a perimeter and searched the area with a dog but were unable to find the suspect.

No one was injured.
