Shawnee Mission Health opens urgent care location in Olathe

Shawnee Mission Health has expanded its urgent care network with the opening of a location in Olathe, its third in Johnson County.

The Centra Care Shawnee Mission urgent care facility is located at 14744 W. 119th St., east of the intersection of 119th Street and Black Bob Road.

The urgent care centers represent a partnership between Shawnee Mission Health and Centra Care, both of which are part of Adventist Health System. Centra Care also has locations in Overland Park and Lenexa, and a fourth location is expected to open soon in Shawnee, Shawnee Mission Health said.

The Olathe walk-in care facility, which opened earlier this month, has a certified physician on-site to treat a variety of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries in both adults and children, including colds, flu, broken bones and sprains.

The hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. Patients can go online to make a reservation.

The location was designed to include a children’s waiting area and a dedicated pediatric exam room.

The facility also offers business health services, including drug testing, health risk appraisals, occupational health examinations, on-site lab screening, Department of Transportation examinations and other employment physicals.

Shawnee Mission Health operates a network of health care facilities, including Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Merriam.
