Public service is about getting results for our community — a community I’ve called home nearly my entire life. As your representative and a mom, I take seriously the opportunity to help get our state back on track. To accomplish this goal, I will continue to be an independent thinker and thoughtful, pragmatic leader. I look forward to working with others to find solutions to the challenges facing our state: fighting to adequately fund our schools, restoring tax fairness, ensuring our hard-earned tax dollars are spent efficiently and effectively, and guaranteeing that Kansans with disabilities receive services they need and deserve.

My passion in life has always been supporting the people that surround me. As a lifelong educator, parent and 32-year resident of Olathe, I have seen the detrimental impact the Brownback agenda has had on our state’s budget and education system. I decided it was time to use my educational background and support all students of Kansas in the political arena. I would work to secure appropriate funding for all schools while implementing data-based decision-making in all areas. I believe Kansans want to live in a state that functions for all and is governed with common sense.
