Stanford & Sons Comedy Club plans to open Nov. 2 in the Legends Outlets.

Two years after leaving the Legends Outlets Kansas City, Stanford & Sons Comedy Club has returned to the same spot.

It plans to open Wednesday with The Magic Mike Male Revue. Colin Kane, who was in “The Wedding Ringer,” is booked at the club Friday and Saturday.

The 6,675-square-foot remodeled space is at 1867 Village West Parkway, Suite D-211, Kansas City, Kan., on an upper level across from Dave & Buster’s. It will have a full-service bar and menu of light appetizers, including chicken fingers, nachos and quesadillas.

In other Legends Outlets updates, two retail chains targeted to teenagers are liquidating:

▪ Aeropostale plans to close Dec. 31, according to the Legends Outlets, but will then reopen as a “rebranded concept after the first of the year and will remain a tenant for the next three years.” Aeropostale officials couldn’t be reached for comment.

▪ PacSun is having a closing sale and according to Legends officials it will close in late January.

Silpada warehouse auction

Items can be inspected on Nov. 10 and 11. The auction ends on Nov. 14.

Kickstarter for Guy’s Snacks

Overland Park-based Guy’s Snacks, a 78-year-old Kansas City brand, is turning to crowdfunding to “re-energize the brand.”

Guys wants to raise $26,000 through its new Kickstarter campaign to help fund its first production of two snack-sized bags — barbecue, its top seller, as well as one selected through customer feedback.

As of Tuesday morning, 13 backers had pledged $1,184 with 29 days to go. Rewards for donations include bags of chips, branded stickers, T-shirts, baseball pins and more.

Guy’s was founded as a family-owned business in 1938, grew into a regional brand and is now once again a small family-owned company. Its products — which also include several potato chip flavors, as well as Tasty Mix, butter twists and pretzel sticks — also are sold in grocery stores in six states and online. It also has a retail store at 7365 W. 97th St. in Overland Park.

Alex Block and David Block of Block & Company Inc. Realtors handled the negotiations for seller, Plaza Speedway Development Inc. The Plaza at the Speedway is an 850,000-square-foot retail center with such tenants as Wal-Mart Supercenter, Olive Garden and Chick-fil-A.

Burger King officials did not return phone calls seeking comment on the Plaza at the Speedway location.
