AT&T cellphone subscribers may be having issues getting a signal in Kansas City and surrounding areas Saturday due to outages.

A local retail location confirmed with The Star that the provider’s network is experiencing some outages and that the company is working to fix the issue.

Around 5:42 p.m., Katie Nagus, an AT&T spokeswoman, emailed The Star, writing, “Some customers in certain parts of the Midwest may have briefly experienced issues with their wireless or cVoIP services on Saturday afternoon. Technicians have restored service and it is now running normally. We are currently investigating the cause and apologize for any inconvenience.”
