Raytown police shoot one man and arrest another after burglary alarm
Raytown police officers responding to a residential burglar alarm shot one man and took another into custody late Sunday.
The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. in the 6200 block of Ralston.
When police arrived, they found two men inside the house. Officers said one of those men pointed a gun at them. One of the officers fired once and struck the man in the abdomen.
He was taken to an area hospital with what police said was an injury that was not life threatening. The other man was taken into custody.
The officers were not injured.
Police said the investigation continues.
