Teen in critical condition after near-drowning in Overland Park pool
Bystanders rescued a teen who nearly drowned in an indoor swimming pool in Overland Park on Sunday, but the teen was hospitalized in critical condition.
Emergency crews were called just after 1:20 p.m. to the pool in the Meadowlark Hill Apartments in the 9100 block of Foster Street, according to a written statement released by the Overland Park Fire Department.
Witnesses reported that the teen may have been in the pool for two to three minutes before he was pulled from the water, the statement said.
Rescue crews began CPR and transported the teen to a hospital.
No other details were immediately available.
