Kansas mom takes to Facebook after daughter repeatedly bullied on school bus
A Louisburg, Kan., mother posted a picture of her sobbing daughter on Facebook, saying the girl was repeatedly bullied on the school bus.
"This is NOT ok!" Aimee Johnson wrote after her 9-year-old daughter came home distraught.
"My daughter has been bullied on the bus since we moved to Louisburg, continuously by the same 3 little boys," Johnson wrote. "This is the 3rd time physical violence has happened to her in 4 months. I'm done!"
Johnson said the boys hit her daughter on the head with her water bottle and called her ugly and dumb.
"The first two times I was told that the cameras were pulled and the act was seen by the bus department and the principal and that action by the principal would be taken ... never was!" she posted.
The superintendent of the Louisburg school district did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
But Johnson did not stop at just notifying the district.
"Update: the Louisburg police department is involved and they are doing everything they can to help our daughter!" Johnson posted. "Thanks!"
"Ms. Johnson filed a police report with us and we immediately had it assigned to our investigators," Louisburg Chief of Police Terry Bauer told The Star on Monday.
"Now the case and the report are both currently under investigation and will continue to be probably for the next two or three days before we have a conclusion."
Johnson said bullying is the reason some girls commit suicide.
My daughter does not deserve this at 9 years old by 4th and 5th grade boys!" she wrote. "Teach your sons not to hit women."
Comments on Johnson's Facebook page were supportive.
"You are NOT ugly sweetie," wrote one mother. "I have a son and he knows not to hit a girl/woman. If I ever find out he did I'll take a baseball bat to his ASS."
Another posted, "My heart aches for your baby."
Others encouraged the girl to fight back and for other students to come to her defense.
"You're a good mom for taking action like this," wrote one commenter.
