Kansas trooper scolds K-10 drivers: Slow down or we’re closing the road at crash site
Minutes after one lane of westbound Kansas 10 was reopened following a rollover crash Monday, the Kansas Highway Patrol made a plea on Twitter for drivers to slow down.
In the tweet, the KHP said, “Please slow down. If we deem it unsafe, we’ll close the left lane.”

The tweet came as officials investigated the two-vehicle rollover crash that closed the westbound lanes of Kansas 10 at the Kansas 7 interchange in Lenexa for about 45 minutes Monday.
Serious injuries were reported in the crash, which occurred about 10:30 a.m., according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
In addition to the westbound lanes of K-10, the ramps from northbound and southbound K-7 to westbound K-10 initially were closed.
Lenexa police said that westbound K-10 traffic was being diverted onto K-7. Drivers were urged to to watch for emergency workers and for possible traffic backups in the area.
About 45 minutes after the crash, the left lane of westbound K-10 was reopened. The right lane of K-10 as well as the the southbound ramp from K-7 to westbound K-10 remained closed.
