A motorist said he was randomly targeted by a gunman on Blue Parkway near 63rd Street in Kansas City.
The gunman — a rear-seat passenger in a small, possibly newer sedan — fired two or three shots after the vehicle he occupied pulled alongside the motorist’s.
The motorist’s cowboy hat was pierced by a bullet, as was the roof of his vehicle. At least one other person occupied the vehicle with the motorist.
There were no injuries in the incident, according to Kansas City police. The victims said they did not recognize the shooter.

The victim told officers that the shooter “stuck his hand out the window and cocked the handgun sideways when he was shooting.”
