Overland Park apartment fire displaces 13 people
Thirteen people were displaced early Friday by an apartment fire at the Meadowlark Hills apartments in Overland Park.
Fire crews from Overland Park, Lenexa and Consolidated Fire District No. 2 responded shortly before 2 a.m. in the 9100 block of Robinson Street.
Residents stayed warm in the clubhouse while firefighters battled the blaze for nearly two hours. There were no injuries.
The American Red Cross assisted 13 displaced residents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
