You can help name the baby Asian otter born at the Kansas City Zoo
He looks a little grumpy in his debut photo, like somebody interrupted nap time.
But a male Asian small-clawed otter born Aug. 27 at the Kansas City Zoo is furry cute.
Asian small-clawed otters are one of 13 different species of otters.
This baby otter is still being tended to by his parents. It will be several weeks until he is on display in the Tropics building, zoo officials said Friday.
In the meantime, the zoo is having a naming contest. Submit entries through Oct. 20 to https://www.kansascityzoo.org/otter-naming-contest/.
Zoo staffers will whittle them down to four names that members of the public can then vote on through Nov. 3. The winner will be announced on the morning of Nov. 10 on Facebook Live.
