Water restored to KCI’s Terminal B after water main breaks disrupt service
The water is back on in Kansas City International Airports Terminal B after a broken main left the terminal without service for several hours.
The water was restored by 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, airport officials said via Twitter.
A water main at the airport broke Tuesday afternoon. The break in the 12-inch pipe forced crews to turn off water to Terminal B. Crews worked through the night to get the water restored.
At about 7 a.m., airport officials said via Twitter that repairs were expected to be completed by 9 a.m. and that the portable toilets had just arrived. Flights were not affected by the lack of water.
Airlines that use Terminal B include Southwest, Delta and Alaska.
KMBZ reported that some air travelers were taking shuttles to another terminal to use restrooms.
