One killed in Monday house fire in Cass County
One person was killed in a residence fire Monday in rural Peculiar in Cass County.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office said the identification of the person must await an examination by the Jackson County medical examiner.
The South Metropolitan Fire Protection District was called to the residence in the 20000 block of South Carriage Lane about 12:30 p.m. The one-story residence was fully engulfed. The cause is under investigation.
