H&M sets spring 2017 opening in Lee’s Summit
H&M, a leading fashion retailer, plans a spring 2017 opening in Lee’s Summit.
Construction on a new 25,360-square-foot building at 820 N.W. Blue Parkway in Summit Fair is expected to start this summer. H&M will take 20,000 square feet, and Summit Fair is in negotiations with other retailers for the remaining 5,360-square-foot space.
H&M offers low-price but fashionable clothing and accessories for the family.
The company opened its first U.S. store on New York’s Fifth Avenue 16 years ago and now has 423 stores across the country, including a location on the Country Club Plaza that opened in late 2011 and another in Overland Park’s Oak Park Mall that opened in mid-2013.
Summit Fair, a 507,000-square-foot, open-air lifestyle center, is at Interstate 470 and U.S 50. It counts Macy’s, J.C. Penney and Chick-fil-A among its tenants.
