A corner building on bustling Broadway in the Garment District now houses several operations spread over three floors.
Broadway Bistro is the latest tenant to open, taking a large space on the first floor of the circa 1904 building at 1000 Broadway.
Breakfast includes steak and eggs, Northern California Eggs Benedict (with smoked turkey and avocado), omelets, breakfast sandwiches and frittata. For lunch, it offers appetizers, chicken Teriyaki bowls, seared pork chops, burgers and sandwiches, salads and more

Breakfast and lunch are served Monday through Saturday.
A Sunday brunch buffet runs from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with live entertainment from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It includes a prime rib carving station, omelet station, pastries and desserts, as well as bottomless mimosas.
Dinner service, from 4 to 10 p.m. daily, will start Monday, Nov. 20, and include bowls, sandwiches, salads, burgers and a KC strip steak with Bordelaise sauce.
Executive chef Heidi Van Noy is a third generation food and beverage worker, starting in her family’s Jess & Jim’s Steakhouse and R.C.’s Restaurant & Lounge in the Martin City District. She’s worked at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, and also has had stints with the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway and Harrah’s North Kansas City Hotel and Casino.
A speakeasy and lounge, Hush, is open from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. Thursday and Friday, and from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday and Sunday in the basement of the building. It has live music Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, with DJ Zammy spinning salsa music on Fridays.
Overland Park’s 39Bevco Restaurant & Retail Group, which oversees the restaurant and speakeasy, also operates several event spaces in the building, now known as the Garment House on Broadway.
It plans a pre-Thanksgiving open house from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22. It is closed on Thanksgiving.
