Comedian Amy Poehler, author Liz Murray and actress Geena Davis kickoff a speaker series that begins in Kansas City in October.

The Chat Series taps well known figures to address pressing issues and includes community investment related to the topics. It is sponsored by Kansas City-based Bishop-McCann, a meeting, incentive and events company.

The three speakers will talk about women’s empowerment, starting with Poehler on Oct. 13, Murray on Oct. 20 and Davis on Nov. 9. Tickets for the series are available online and through the box office at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
